It is with great sadness that Bryce must announce the end of support for macOS.

While Bryce has a mostly good opinion of macOS and would like to continue supporting the platform, he doesn't like how Apple tends to push programmers into buying new computers just because of a need to upgrade the OS to keep up to date with the developer tools, and has transitioned to a mostly Linux environment.

As a result, he cannot build for Apple platform anymore, especially because the Mac that he still has, at the time of writing this, is on the last version of macOS it will ever see.

However, this does not mean that rcheckbook will not be able to build on macOS nor does he intend to remove the install instructions for the macOS platform from the existing Makefile.

What will change, as of today, is that there will be no installers made for macOS.

Bryce will be focusing on making installers for the following:

• Windows 10
• Ubuntu/Debian
• Fedora (cannot guarantee compatiability with the rest of the Redhat family or other Linux Distributions using RPMs)
• FreeBSD 15

Still, if you would like a dedicated installer for macOS, you can make one and let Bryce know.
